Raw Dog Foods

About

Raw Dog Foods is a free raw feeding calculator and a small set of UK guides. It is run by one person, it has no sign up and it uses no cookies.

What the site is for

Working out how much raw food to feed a dog is a small piece of arithmetic that gets repeated badly all over the internet. The calculator does the arithmetic, shows its working, and splits the result into muscle meat, bone and organ so you can shop for it. The guides cover the questions that come up straight after: which model, how to switch, what it costs, what to buy.

Where the numbers come from

  • Feeding percentages are the percent of body weight ranges used by UK raw manufacturers in their own feeding guides and by raw feeding groups for the last 20 years. Last reviewed 31 October 2026.
  • Price ranges in the cost comparison come from listed UK retail prices with the source and date given on the page. Last reviewed 31 October 2026.
  • Brand prices are brand claims or named third party checks, always with the date. Where we could not confirm a figure it says "not confirmed" rather than guessing. Last reviewed 2 November 2026.

All of this data lives in plain files that are checked automatically before every update to the site, so a bad number fails the build rather than going live.

How the site is funded

Some brand links are affiliate links, through the Awin network. If you click one and buy, the brand pays us a commission. It costs you nothing extra and it does not change the calculator results, the brands listed or the order they appear in. Every page with an affiliate link says so above the links. See the disclaimer for the full wording.

What the site is not

It is not veterinary advice and it is not a substitute for a qualified canine nutritionist, especially for puppies, pregnant or nursing dogs and dogs with a medical condition. It does not claim raw food treats or prevents any disease.
